arfi

arfi is a freely evolving and ever-changing organism. 

Sometimes in the form of a beautiful wild flower that lolls in the wind and casts a spell over its viewers, sometimes a rough, prickly and downright unruly thistle that paves its way through the stony tarmac.

In Icelandic, arfi stands for the unruly „Unkraut“ („weed“), that grows with a mind of its own, that refuses to be subdued and reveals its natural beauty to the observer that sees through the layers of prefabricated ideals.

arfi is irrepressible and tender, screaming and whispering, dreamy and raw, heavy-breathing and ecstatic.

arfi is all this.

arfi are Katrín Helga Ólafsdóttir (bass/voc), Tobias Link (keys/trb/fx/voc) and Stefan Vidal-Schneider (drums/keys/fx/voc).
